My work embodies concepts of Post-naturalism — a perspective that questions the objectification of nature as pristine and separate from humans. Just as nature is transformed by industry, the installations become renditions of environmental stories, histories, and constructed narratives.
In this context, I produce 3D objects and installations — hybrid adaptations, using salvaged plastics, mangled industrial and architectural parts, entwined with branches and tree roots. The manipulation and fusion of these disparate materials highlight both the stark contrasts and the blurring of boundaries between the manufactured and the natural.
I also document the ravages of tornadoes, droughts, and flooding, and print the images on wall-sized sheets of aluminum, film, and paper. I then cut, heat, and reconstruct these large prints as façades—pictures of nature peeling away from the walls and floor.
My focus is on how culture and technology are intricately intertwined with nature — a dynamic, ever-evolving system.
