“Trees I Have Loved” is an installation at Jim Bob Art Park and Nature Trails - 80 acres of land in Benjamin, TX. This is an ongoing installation which opened with "phase one", October 26th, 2024.
I was awarded a 2024 Nasher Artist Grant in support of the project.
The installation consists of a photo of this tree cluster, from the park, printed onto a large sheet of aluminum, installed within the tree along with other elements such as salvaged metals and plastics to create a tornado after-math like effect.
The focus of the work is on how nature is an ever-evolving system, intricately intertwined with human culture and industry.
